Central Minnesota Neurosciences

Central Minnesota Neurosciences has been in continuous operation since 1984.  Dr Reginald Watts, a Neurosurgeon, was the original owner.  Dr. Jeff Gerdes joined the clinic in 1995. Dr. Gerdes purchased the entire practice in August of 2000. Over the years, our staff of specialists has continued to change and grow.  Dr. Hector Ho was with the practice from 2001 until 2006.  Dr. Leslie Hillman, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist, joined the clinic in 2003. Dr Lynn Miller, an adult and pediatric neurosurgeon, joined us in 2008.  Several of our staff members have been with the clinic for 20 years or more.

Our first clinic was located at 1400 W. St. Germain, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The practice remained there until June, 2006 when we developed a 40-acre Regional Medical Arts Campus in nearby Sartell. As part of this campus, we created the Center for Neurosurgery and Spine and invited other spine care providers to relocate to our campus and join us in forming the nucleus of a Spine Center serving all of Central Minnesota. The development of that Spine Center is ongoing.

From its inception, Central Minnesota Neurosciences was a practice that combined neurosurgery and neurology. Currently our clinic provides neurosurgical and physiarty services with a combined staff of two neurosurgeons, one physiatrist, and three mid-level practitioners. We see approximately 3,000 new patients per year and our physicians perform approximately 1,000 surgical procedures annually, the vast majority of them being spine procedures.
